The Neo-Classic Auburn Speedster is a Perfect Marriage of Yesterday’s Classic Design and Today’s State-of-the-Art Technology.

In 1934, the owner of the AUBURN-CORD-DUESENBERG Companies, E.L. Cord urgently needed a new sports car succeeding the famous Duesenberg. He therefore ordered his engineer Gordon Buehrig, to come up with a new car that captured the American Art Deco Design. In 1935, the Auburn Speedster Model 851 was introduced to the world. About 500 were built in the '30s.

Its timeless design attracts a crowd today just as quickly as it did in the 1930s. Speedster Motorcars in Clearwater, Florida, is offering the best of both worlds. The company produces a replica as authentic as possible to the original design of Gordon Buehrig except for its modern mechanicals.

Beyond its flowing shape, fine upholstery materials and accoutrements including the famous AUBURN dash with its engine turned aluminum panels and array of classic instruments, the Neo-Classic 1936 Auburn Speedster is an automobile that offers sophisticated engineering and an excellent driving experience. The chassis blends the steering precision and handling of the world’s finest sports cars with the responsive ride rivaling today’s most expensive luxury vehicles.

Speedster Motorcars (SMC) manufactured over the last 3 years app. 60 Auburn Speedsters. All of these cars “Series One” were sold. In May this year, SMC started production of the technically improved “Series Two” Auburns.
