The Best of Yesterday and Tomorrow
This 1954 Corvette Nomad Re-Creation is paying tribute to the Nomad legacy by blending the 50's styling with the cutting edge C-5 technology.
In 1954, as part of the Motorama Line-Up, GM displayed special proto-type Corvette's, with the only Corvette Wagon referred to as the "Waldorf Nomad", which was later used as the Chevy Nomad Wagon.
This wagon was built by Advanced Automotive Technologies, in Michigan using a 2004 glass hatchback Corvette and combining the style of the original 1954 Corvette-Nomad with the modern power and comfort of today’s Corvette with no modification to the existing seal surfaces. Basically, the '54 Corvette Nomad Re-Creation is a re-bodied Corvette C-5 Coupe
The new retro designed package includes a new front & rear fascia, headlights, chrome die-cast grill & bumpers, hood, fenders rear quarter panels, and LED taillights, replacing the original parts. Panels are bolted to the original attachment points.
This Corvette Nomad Re-creation is also complimented with painted brake calipers, custom leather interior, power seats, custom steel, side exhausts, seven vertical stripes on the rear fascia, fully functional rear hatch lid with added cargo space, hash marks on the roof panel, and an iconic design in modern proportions.
